A quality thermal bag, well sealed and with a cooling cover or ceramic ice inside, keeps food cold for approximately 4 to 6 hours.
Are stainless steel lunch boxes safe for the microwave?
In general, most stainless steel lunch boxes are not microwave safe. At Nerthus, we have two exceptions: Microwave-Safe Stainless Steel Airtight Container is made 100% of stainless steel with a steam valve and can be heated directly in the microwave (maximum 3 minutes, with the valve open and not empty or in contact with the appliance walls). If you prefer to keep it simple, the easiest option is still to use a glass airtight container.
